The function of the Solar PV Warning Labels

  • The functions of the labels on a P.V system, to Identify hazards.
  • Each electrical equipment within the P.V system should be clearly labelled with the correct identification.

 

 

An A/C isolator installed in a Solar P.V system must be:

Solar-PV-AC-Isolator-Label

  • Lockable in the off position
  • Clearly labelled
  • Easily accessible
  • Double pole, single throw
  • Clearly, show on/off position

 

And The Label Must be Installed on both Main and Emergency A/C Isolators.

 

 

 

 

 

A D/C isolator installed in a Solar P.V system must be:

  • Clearly labelled
  • Easily accessible
  • Double pole, single throw
  • Clearly, show on/off position

 

And The Label Must be Installed on both All  D/C Isolators.

Labels on a Solar P.V Array Wirings

  • P.V array D/c junction box DANGER contains live parts during daylight
  • Should be placed on the D/C junction box front cover.
  • It must be Clear and Visible.

 

 

 

Solar P.V String Inverter

Dual Supply

 

 

  • Inverter Isolate A/C and D/C before carrying out work.
  • Shall be placed on all Inverters & all Grid Connection point.
  • The Label Must be Clear and Visible.

 

 

 

How Should a Label be positioned?

  • The labels must be clearly visible
  • Legible
  • It should be made from weatherproof material
  • The Labels should be fixed outside of the electrical equipment
  • The Labels should be positioned securely
  • The labels shall be constructed to last
