Home Renovation Incentive Grant (HRI) – For Home Owners
What is the HRI?
The Home Renovation Incentive (HRI) is a relief from Income Tax (IT) for homeowners, landlords and local authority tenants. You can claim the HRI TaxCredit for repairs, renovations and improvements to your home or rental property.
How HRI Works?
For Example: “Tom wishes to purchase a 2.6kWP Smart Solar PV System, which will generate 2600kWH of Electricity each Year for Tom`s Family.
Tom is taking into account his current Electricity rate which is 18.6cent / kWH + VAT. Therefore Tom aims to save €481 on His Electricity bill Annually.
SaveMeMoney Quote Tom for this Solar PV System with Full Supply, Installation, Commission, RECI Certifications and Paperwork handling.
The Quote for this 2.6kWP Smart Solar PV System was €5979 euros, however since this Solar PV was qualified for HRI, Tom`s family was entitled to claim back the 13.5% VAT on their Investment, which saves €711.16 euros for Tom.
Tom`s total investment after the HRI Grant is reduced from €5979 to €5267.84.
Tom and His family now enjoy the benefits of their Smart Solar PV System, while they paying significantly (between 60-70%) less for electricity month after month.”
